Kirsten Selstad of Overland Park Honored During University of Kansas Women's Recognition Program

Kirsten Selstad, of Overland Park, was honored during the annual University of Kansas Women's Recognition Program, which was April 3 at the Kansas Union in Lawrence.

Selstad, a graduate of Blue Valley West High School and freshman studying journalism/news and information, won Outstanding Student On Campus Housing - Hashinger Hall.

In total there were six new Women's Hall of Fame inductees and 18 women honored with one of the 14 Women's Recognition Awards in addition to the 20 outstanding females in on-campus housing or sororities honored.

These awards were established to honor KU female students, staff, faculty and alumnae who have enriched and improved the campus and community through their service, teaching or involvement. The program is sponsored by the Emily Taylor Women's Resource Center, the Commission on the Status of Women and the Office of Diversity and Equity.
